FAQ

Common questions

What hardware do I need?

Any Raspberry Pi (or Banana Pi, generic Linux box, Windows or Mac machine) with an audio output, connected to an amplifier or powered speakers. Most sites run a ~$50 Pi per zone. There's no proprietary hardware and nothing to license.

How does the free trial work?

Every new account starts with a 7-day trial with full functionality. Your card is never charged automatically — we'll remind you before the trial ends, you choose when to start your paid plan, and your devices keep their configuration when you subscribe.

What counts as a device or a user?

A device is one installed Relay agent (one Pi/computer playing audio). A user is one team member login. Plans include a bundle of each; Business and Enterprise plans can add more devices individually and users in packs.

How does annual billing work?

Pay yearly and you're charged for 10 months instead of 12 — two months free. You can switch cycles from the billing page; upgrades are prorated so you never pay twice for the same period.

What happens if my internet goes down?

Devices are offline-first: bell schedules, volumes and synced playlists are stored on the device (encrypted) and keep running through outages — even across a reboot. Live paging naturally requires connectivity; everything scheduled does not.

Can I put devices on an isolated network?

Yes. Devices only need outbound HTTPS and one streaming connection, and both can be routed through a standard HTTP proxy — so a no-internet VLAN with a single egress proxy works out of the box.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from the billing page whenever you like — your service runs until the end of the paid period, and you can export your data at any time.
